- Tu Bishvat/Tu B'Shevat is celebrated by the Jewish occurring on the 15th day of the Hebrew month of Shevat
- World Leprosy Day celebrates on the last Sunday of January.
- Māgha Pūjā is the second most popular Buddhist festival which celebrates the full moon day of the third lunar month. It is a Government holiday in Thailand.
- World Kidney Day celebrates on the second Thursday of March.
- Maha Shivaratri/Shivaratri celebrates on the 13th or 14th day of the month Magha/Phalguna according to the Hindu calendar. It is a gazetted holiday in India. In other countries, Hindu religious people celebrate the day.
- March Equinox is the day when the duration of night & day are nearly equal.
- Earth Hour usually celebrates on the last Saturday of March.
- Good Friday is celebrated to commemorate the day of the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ. It observes before two days of Easter Sunday so the date varies every year. It is a legal holiday only in some states.
